MUNCIE, Ind. — Seven East Central Indiana baseball and softball players competed in North/South All-Star games over the weekend, an annual honor where the state's top talents showcase their skills.
The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association North/South All-Star Series was held at Indiana Wesleyan University June 24-26. Saturday's doubleheader was split by both squads, first a 10-6 victory for the North All-Stars via a walk-off grand slam, followed by a 16-8 South win.
Sunday's game, won 4-3 by the South, featured wood bats as every player donned their school's unique jersey.
The North team featured four ECI athletes: Wes-Del Zack Todd, Wapahani's Luke Willmann, Monroe Central's Aidyn Coffey and Yorktown's Jacob Pruitt.
